GREEN CABBAGE
Cabbage is a cultivar of the Brassica oleracea vegetable family.
They are a leafy green biennial plant, grown as an annual vegetable crop for its dense-leaved heads. Cabbage heads generally range from 0.5-4 Kilograms. They are a multi-layered vegetable with tightly enveloped superimposed pale green leaves. The leaves are thick, broad, deeply veined and waxy in their finish. The head is round or globular shaped.
It is a cool season crop. The heads should be firm, dense and shiny, with crisp, colourful leaves, free from cracks, bruises and blemishes.
