RED SEEDLESS GRAPES
Red or purple grapes have much higher levels of anthocyanins (which are reponsible for the darker colour of the grapeskin) in particular and polyphenols in general (beneficial antioxidants) make red, pink or purple grapes a slightly healthier choice than green grapes.
They also tend to be sweeter in taste than green grapes. Besides use as a fresh fruit, grapes are also dried to make currants (from black Corinth seedless grapes) and raisins and sultanas (both from white grapes – the difference in colour is a result of the different drying processes).
